I work on a variety of residential and landscape projects, from smaller outdoor improvements and landscape transformations to home renovations, ADUs, additions, custom homes, and outdoor living spaces. I also enjoy projects that bring the home and landscape together to create a cohesive indoor-outdoor experience. If you have a project in mind and aren’t sure if it’s a good fit, reach out and we can talk through it.
-
We’ll start with a conversation about your project, your goals, and what you’re hoping to accomplish. If it seems like we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule an initial consultation at your property. I’ll walk the site with you, listen to your ideas, and get a feel for the opportunities and challenges of the project.
-
Yes. An initial consultation is a great way to talk through your ideas and determine what your project may need. We’ll discuss your goals, the existing property, potential design solutions, and the next steps.
-
Yes! I use 3D modeling and rendering to help clients visualize their projects. Being able to see a space before it is built can make design decisions much easier and helps ensure that we’re all working toward the same vision.
-
Every project is different, so I develop fees based on the scope and complexity of the work. After our initial consultation, I’ll put together a proposal outlining the recommended services and associated fees so you know what to expect before moving forward.
-
I focus on the design and documentation side of the project rather than serving as the contractor or landscape installer. I’m happy to work with your contractor or landscape professional and provide them with a clear set of plans to help bring the design to life.
-
Absolutely. You may already have a contractor or landscape professional you trust, and I’m happy to work alongside them. If you don't have someone selected yet, I can also help you understand what to look for when choosing the right contractor for your project.
-
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all timeline. A smaller landscape project may move relatively quickly, while a major renovation or addition can take several months through design and permitting. Once I understand your project, I’ll give you a better idea of the anticipated timeline.
-
I primarily work with clients in the Denver metro area and surrounding communities, but I’m open to discussing projects outside of my typical service area. If you have a project you'd like to discuss, feel free to reach out.
-
Absolutely. You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Sometimes the first step is simply talking through what isn't working, what you'd like to change, and what might be possible. That's what the initial consultation is for.

We hired Heather for an ADU project in Englewood. Heather was super helpful, listened to our needs and questions, was open to suggestions, and created concept drawings that were exciting and represented our ideas. I appreciated how clear Heather made the process, how reasonable Heather's rates were, and how informed she was with permits, rules, and changes to codes. In addition, Heather is a landscape architect. Highly recommend to anyone needing an architect!

Working with Heather was such a pleasant experience! She helped us with our back and front yard remodel and re-landscaping project. She knows her stuff and has a great eye for design. Heather is meticulous and thorough, which are definitely two qualities I want in an architect. It was so helpful to have her to be able to communicate with our contractors and check that they were doing the right thing and adhering to our architectural plan. I would not hesitate to recommend Heather!

We hired Heather to help us with the design for our xeriscape project. Heather was great to work with throughout the process and put together a nice design that was both eye appealing and fit our budget. Heather was patient with us as we made changes to the plants and locations. She also referred us to a landscaping company we hired to bring the design to life. Overall, we are very happy with how things turned out and would highly recommend Heather to anyone who needs help with architectural design.

Heather was amazing to work with. She responded to our initial inquiry email so fast and was over at our house the next day for our consultation. She walked our front and back yards with us and really listened to what we wanted and gave suggestions we loved. We had the first draft of our designs in a couple days. We met again, made some adjustments, and had our final draft a couple days after that. She has been available any time I had a question and was able to adjust and answer questions for our landscaping company as well. Her design made it very easy to get approval from out HOA. She was able to take our vision and her creativity and expertise to create a space we will love for years to come. 100% would work with Heather again.
